Shawn Hayden is back and teaching some new Zentangle lessons. We have started off with hosting some basic technique classes and people keep wanting more

Come experience Zentangle, a popular art form that is easy to learn, relaxing and fun for all ages. This workshop runs for five weeks featuring new projects specifically inspired by the Land of Enchantment. Students who take this workshop will start from the beginning: a short intro to the Zentangle pattern designs to learn the basics and get familiar. Then, moving on to more advanced techniques including using water based media and more. By the time our workshop is over, you will be familiar with these techniques and have several practice pieces and 3-5 final pieces to take home with you. Bring your own Micron pens in size 01 and 08. Some media will be provided, other materials may be suggested. This is open to all skill levels, and an excellent class for beginners.

INSTRUCTOR BIO:

For the last 30 years, Shawn Hayden has taught a variety of art classes, including ceramics in adult education classes and graphic design at Deerfield Beach High School, bookbinding at lo-Cal art stores and various drawing and painting classes. She holds a BFA in Theater from FAU, which includes a concentration in set design and painting, costume design and prop creation. While searching for a way to apply these skills, she came across Zentangle® and never looked back. She was certified to teach Zentangle in October of 2011. Since then, she has done many demonstrations, workshops and introduced Zentangle to many people in the area. Currently, she is teaching Zentangle workshops – both public and private – in the Santa Fe area!
