yucca flats stroll (every Friday)

We ll start out from Yucca Flats and see where the trail takes us. Here is a map of the park. Note 1 is Yucca Flats on the map; this is the leash free area of the park: https://coloradosprings.gov/sites/default/files/parks_recreation_and_cultural_services/parks/palmer_park_map_page_1_of_2.pdf Mileage: 2 miles Difficulty: easy to moderate Leashes--NOT required. This is the off leash area of the park. UNLESS you/we decide to descend to lower trails. Where to meet: We will meet by the trail sign at the Yucca Flats/Ute Crest parking lot Directions (this is one of many ways to enter the park): From Maizeland Ave., enter the main gate to Palmer park. Pass the main parking lot and baseball fields on the right. Continue up Paseo Rd until you come to theLazyland group picnic area/Ute Crest on the right hand side. Turn right on the gravel road then bear left at the Y (the right turn will take you to the group picnic area). Parking area is at the end of the road and off-leash trails lead out from there.
