JUNIOR TEAM TENNIS (JTT), Ages 11-18 Players develop skills and sportsmanship while having fun in a team setting. Level-appropriate stroke technique is required. Practices include instruction and coaching, drilling, live-ball games, singles and doubles match play. Players practice weekly, and play a minimum of two weekend matches on our 14 U or 18 U Intermediate USTA travel teams. Additional fees apply** SIGN UP FOR 1 or 2 PRACTICES PER WEEK BASED ON YOUR SCHEDULE High School 18U Intermediate/Advanced Ages 14-18 Yellow Ball, 78' Court (Interm/Adv) Prerequisite: Previous JTT, upper JV or Varsity high school tennis experience. Players compete on USTA 18 & Under Intermediate 'Ann Arbor Avalanche' team. *No class Fridays 1/17, 2/14, 2/28 *UM Varsity Tennis Center is located at 2250 S. State Street (Stephen M. Ross Athletic Complex). Participants at Varsity Tennis Center MUST wear clean tennis court shoes with NON-MARKING SOLES. **$189 JTT practice fee includes one time mandatory USTA team roster fee of $20 and $17 security deposit (for player defaults). Additional match play fee of $17 is paid directly to host club for 2 hours of tennis and pizza/pop. Participants must wear athletic tennis shoes with non-marking, clean soles and comfortable gym-type clothing. Also, please bring water to class.
