You must attend all dates of this innovative training, designed to get you out of the chair, your client off of "the couch," and both of you on a path to co-create lasting wellness by integrating yogic tools into your psychotherapy practice.
This training is designed to support licensed and pre-licensed mental health practitioners who work in clinics or private practice to bring yoga therapy into their professional settings and into their personal lives.
There is a strong emphasis on the cultivation of a personal yoga & meditation practice during this training, along with a focus on therapist self-care, so professionals looking for tools to support their own deep well-being are especially encouraged to apply.
Our time together includes the creation of a therapeutic yoga practicum project and mentorship for launching it in your community.
The field of yoga therapy is expanding rapidly, with certification available through the International Association of Yoga Therapists, which requires the completion of an accredited 2-year program that includes a minimum of 800 hours of training, along with a prerequisite 200 hour yoga teaching certificate. There is an optional additional 100-hour yoga teacher training certification I offer with this foundations course that would satisfy that prerequisite for those interested in pursuing certification as a yoga therapist.
$1,950 for the 100-hour Yoga Therapy Foundations course (one day per month, February - October, 2019) - $1,650 if paid in full by January 1, 2019.
