Year of the Golden Rat: Nai Ni Chen Dance

New Jersey's own Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company brings its annual celebration of the Chinese New Year - a colorful, new program of dance, music and more. Acclaimed choreographer Nai-Ni Chen and her exquisite dancers are known for fusing the freedom of American modern dance with the grace, splendor and discipline of Asian art. Their productions take audiences beyond cultural boundaries, to a place where tradition meets innovation. "Nai-Ni Chen has one foot in Taiwan and one in New Jersey, but she's got Peking and New York covered, too - not to mention ancient and contemporary, folk and classical," says The Los Angeles Times. To celebrate the Year of the Golden Rat, Chen and company will transform the stage of NJPAC's Victoria Theater into a stunning garden of flowers.
