Year-Round Indoor Salad Gardening - Lee Olson
Saturday, January 26, 10:30 am - 12:00 pm - Morning Session
Cost: $15
Did you know you can grow fresh salad greens throughout the winter with no lights, no greenhouse, and little more than a cupboard and a windowsill? Lee Olson will teach you how to grow sprouted seeds in soil and you'll go home with 5 trays of microgreens (broccoli, buckwheat, peas, radishes and sunflowers). You'll learn to grow these delicious, healthy salad greens in less than ten days at a fraction of the cost of buying them at the market. This workshop will have first-time and experienced gardeners discovering the fun and productive world of indoor salad gardening. Egg|Plant has all the supplies you need so you can continue growing.
Lee Olson is a West Side Transitioner who likes to keep chickens, garden, can, brew kombucha, knit, read, talk sustainability and hang with her family and friends. She has taught Year-Round Indoor Salad Gardening workshops at libraries, schools and community events throughout the metro area.
