FAQs

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

Yes, you should bring valid ID to the event. Also, if you are a student and you purchased discounted tickets, you should bring your valid student ID. Valid student ID should not have been expired. There are no age limits. However, we require you to take proper actions to keep the environment quiet for the event.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to the event?

Free CMU parking is available for use. There are also parking spots in streets around the venue. Numerous bus lines are also available that you can use to go to the venue.

What can/can't I bring to the event?

You can bring water and soda for yourself. Due to university law, alcoholic beverages are prohibited on campus and action may be taken by university campus police.

Where can I contact the organizer with any questions?

You can contact us through: isa.ptgh@gmail.com

 Is my registration/ticket refundable?

No, unfortunately, we do not do refunds unless there is a system glitch.

Can I request a refund if I couldn't attend the event?

Unfortunately, we are not able to process any refund. Moreover, Eventbrite does not allow us to refund tickets after the event.

 Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Yes, we allow transfer tickets but we can't offer to introduce any potential buyers. However, you can use our groups or page on facebook for this purpose.

I'm alumni of Pitt/CMU/Other universities. Can I purchase student tickets?

Unfortunately no. The cost of a ticket is determined by the exact cost for each person based on the estimated number of attendees. The student tickets are discounted using the student organization's budget allocated each year from the student activities fee paid by the students each semester.

Can I update my registration information?

Please contact Eventbrite for this manner; However, what we really care about is your full name to be as it is on your ID, and your email to be correct.

Can I bring kids to the event?

Yes! Children are welcome to the event. Tickets for children Under 3 years old are free if they don't need a seat, and tickets for children age 3-7 years old are the same as a student price.

Is there any place to purchase alcohol at the venue?

Unfortunately, due to campus rules, we can't provide alcohol.

Why do you have early bird tickets and late fee tickets?

The reason we have two different tickets is the followings:

1. The main reason is that we are trying to promote the early purchase. We prefer that everyone buy their tickets, but, having the numbers earlier helps us reduce waste and costs.

2. We have to submit our request for facilities such as tables and chairs to the university 10 days before the           event to ensure we have enough seating. Also, some of our purchases are over the internet and we have to make sure they arrive on time.

What is the cost of the event and why are student tickets much cheaper?

This year's event cost is $48.94 per person. The reason the student tickets are significantly cheaper is that we use student budgets to pay for the remaining portion. These student organization budgets are provided by the university from the student activity fees that students pay each semester.
