The Writing Center hosts a cultural showcase of free literary events during the fall and spring and an annual Writers’ Conference to launch every summer that allow you to get up-close and personal with your literary heroes. Past lecturers include Mary Higgins Clark, Gay Talese, Joyce Carol Oates, Barbara Taylor Bradford and Lee Child. Our fall events include Jack Burstyn Memorial and Elizabeth Strong-Cuevas lecturers and Gertrude Vanderbilt Whitney Conner Writers-in-Residence. During the spring, The Writing Center hosts the Best Selling Author series and the Great Thinkers of Our Time series. The Writing Center's annual summer event features distinguished keynote speakers, writers, editors, publishers and literary agents on exciting panels.

Each session begins with a brief introduction to the coffee being served, followed by an hour of silent writing time and a thirty-minute period reserved for discussion and critique.
No registration is required.
