World Pediatric Project Monthly Volunteer Orientation

Get involved with WPP by attending our monthly Volunteer Orientation

After you've attended the volunteer orientation, the following are ways of engaging with our WPP families:

Provide social support to a family whose child is in St. Louis for medical treatment

• Take families on outings to local attractions, parks or have them over for a meal
• Teach a new skill or make crafts at the Ronald McDonald House with families
• Assist with errands for families
• Pick up a new family from the airport or drop them off at the end of their stay
• Bring a meal or visit with families during their hospital stay
• Invite families to attend religious services of their preference

Use your Spanish language skills to support our families

• Provide cultural and language support to families during their child's hospital stay when communication can be very challenging and emotional
• When appropriate, translate during physical therapy or doctor's appointment
• Provide bilingual social support during activities listed above

Love special events and fundraising?

• Volunteer your time to help at one of our events
• Join our Young Professional Committee
• Introduce us to a third party fundraiser to benefit World Pediatric Project
• Connect us to a sponsorship or auction package
