Imagine having taken and stored over 10,000 images on your computer hard drive. A collection of images you may have taken during a once in a lifetime trip. A collection of images you captured of a once in a lifetime event, such as a friend’s or even a client’s wedding. Now imagine your computer hard drive crashes and those images are now unrecoverable. This happens folks, but it can be prevented by implementing good methods and tools to prevent an unrecoverable event from happening.
This workshop covers a collection of core strategies and tools which can be implemented to help you put your mind at ease about the immediate and long-term safety of your images.

The workshop will cover:

● The basic nuts-and-bolts of photo storage and backup:
● Approaches for backup at capture time - in-camera vs. tethered
● The 3-2-1 backup principle
● Suggestions for portable tools designed to aid in copying your files quickly
● An overview of workflow aimed at a long term approach to ever growing data & storage needs
● Introduction to Chronosync as a tool to backup files incrementally, immediately and on a regular schedule

You will leave this workshop armed with the knowledge of a few methods and tools for storage and backup to safeguard your precious moments in time.
