Family of five different mothers with children from broken relationships and a man who reads taxes because of loopholes and bankruptcies six times in a man who holds immigrants passports in Dubai so the engineer stay and work on his golf course to earn your passports back to go home or the man that sits there and starts a false university and has to borrow from foreign banks or a man who puts family values first - raises women to be educated contributors which be productive members of society - verses wanting to raise women you'd want to control by grabbing them by their privates!!!! This is why I went to the rally and took time away from my education today. I went to March and take pictures and show there's families of all races and ethnic cities that were there showing their families how to love and what love looks like. Not with this monster tries to portray. We need to keep in perspective that he only one a portion of those- who only voted- the other 47% of those absent still have nightmare(s) about why they did not show up and vote. If we have learned anything is we can rally; we can March; but we HAVE to vote. In 18 months we need to take that Congress!

Direct From Organizers: I know that everyone is worried about the changes to the rally and march. I just want to update you and THANK YOU for your patience. This has been quite a week and we’re working triple time- but rest assured the move is THE BEST news we could get. Columbus is a much larger street and will accommodate more of the passionate women and their allies who are participating in the march. Our numbers are strong because YOU, the people who have been talking, discussing, cooperating, occasionally questioning each other, being thoughtful about responses and doing EXACTLY what we need to do – connect. It’s not always pretty. Sometimes you hurt someone’s feelings or your’s are hurt. There are tears, laughter, and joy. That’s exactly what we’ve been going through this week. But what evolves is better than if you stick to your original beliefs (or the original plan). We have to evolve and when I stood on Columbus Avenue this afternoon and looked down the street, I could see all of us standing up for women of all ethnic and cultural differences to move forward a PROGRESSIVE agenda that will bring justice, equity, and fairness to all. Please don’t choose to stay home because you think we’re unorganized. We have the best and brightest steering this ship, and the captains that are guiding us have been doing this on a larger scale than this. So join us Saturday. Start off from your homes an hour early. Travel with a water bottle, sack lunch, and your smile. Be gracious and kind to everyone you meet.

********LOGISTICAL UPDATE*********** Direct from the Logistics Team: Thank you for your patience on our evolving Logistics Plans. March organizers are responding as fast as possible to a changing dynamic with crowd estimates for passionate women and their allies increasing dramatically every day. The goal of organizers is to provide a safe and reasonable plan in collaboration with the city. We have experts from the city, Chicago Marathon and Lollapalooza planners and others helping guide the plan for the day. We currently expect more than 50,000 marchers and are looking forward to an incredible experience together. The rally begins at 10 a.m. on Columbus Drive at Jackson Drive (immediately adjacent to Petrillo Bandshell in Grant Park). Entry point to the rally space is via Balbo or Congress onto Columbus Drive. As you enter Columbus from Balbo you will come north toward the stage which backs up to Jackson Drive. Attendance numbers for the march continue to grow rapidly, now with more than 225 registered supporting organizations sending marchers and more than 50,000 people confirmed to attend via event registrations and on the March’s social media platforms. The stage will face south at the intersection of Jackson and Columbus, with a Jumbotron setup up further south along Columbus. Columbus Drive will be closed from E Monroe Street south to E Balbo Avenue. E Jackson Drive, E Congress and Balbo will all be closed from Michigan Ave to Lake Shore Drive. Monroe will be closed from Michigan Ave to Columbus. See route map for visual of street closures: http://womens121marchonchicago.org/logistics/ There will be a disability access drop off point at Columbus and Monroe. Cars for disability drop off come south on Columbus towards Monroe for drop off. NO drop off permitted on Lake Shore Drive. All others should enter the rally area via Balbo or Congress onto Columbus Drive. Please head to the Women's March Website for more detailed information regarding how these changes effect other areas of the rally and march. The rally is still starting at 10 am and the march will kick off around 11:30. Thank you everyone for your energies and contributions to making this Rally and March a success!

Good morning, Marchers! We've been working with the City and understand that we will be responsible for grass/dirt/ground damage. We are managing/will manage this in a couple ways: we have moved from Petrillo/Butler field to Jackson Street, we are fencing/taping off all grass/dirt areas, and we are insisting that no one walk on ANYTHING BUT PAVEMENT. We have signage to this effect, and will tell all volunteers to keep people off grass. We will extensively document grass condition all day. Whew! We also need to continue to raise funds for expenses around this. If you've not yet donated, please do. This organization WILL NOT KEEP any money... any leftover will be donated to a non-profit organization that benefits women. THANK YOU FOR UNDERSTANDING!! https://www.crowdrise.com/womens-121-march-on-chicago/fundraiser/womens121marchonchicago

Marchers, the GREAT NEWS is we’re expecting temperatures next Saturday well above freezing. However, this means the grass area at the Bandshell could become a mud pit under the feet of thousands of marchers. Go to www.womensmarchchicago.org for details about the adjusted meeting place—Jackson Boulevard just south of Petrillo Bandshell (right next to it).
