Women in Data Science (WiDS) aims to inspire and educate data scientists worldwide, regardless of gender, and to support women in the field.
“Hosted by Stanford, WiDS aims to inspire and educate data scientists worldwide, regardless of gender, and support women in the field. This annual one-day technical conference provides an opportunity to hear about the latest data science related research and applications in a broad set of domains. All genders are invited to attend the conference, which features outstanding women doing outstanding work.”
— From the global WiDS team
The Lane Medical Library at Stanford University is pleased to be an official ambassador of Women in Data Science (WiDS)* and to host an affiliated regional WiDS event.
Join us on March 2, 2020 at the Lane Medical Library. This year's theme Fearless by Design: Imagine, Innovate, Impact encourages participants to converse about data science education, transformations in the field, and challenges to overcome as a collective. We will livestream the WiDS opening session followed by a panel discussion with women in the Bay Area who have built careers in data science.
