Erroll McDonald is a Vice President, Executive Editor at Penguin Random House. A former trustee of PEN America, he is chair of the board of directors of the Center for Fiction and is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. A summa cum laudegraduate of Yale College (he was an English major), he holds an MBA from Columbia. Among the authors he has edited and published, in a career spanning four decades, are: James Baldwin, Harold Bloom, Italo Calvino, Sandra Cisneros, Henry Louis Gates, Jr., Kazuo Ishiguro, Toni Morrison, Ngūgī wa Thiong’o, Salman Rushdie, and Wole Soyinka.
