Willamette Valley Bonsai Society
If you have a curiosity about Bonsai, the Japanese art of growing trees in containers, or if you simply want to learn more about a unique and fascinating approach to horticulture, join us for our monthly meetings on the second Tuesday of each month. We welcome anyone from the curious novice to experienced master. Participating in the club meetings is an excellent way to learn the techniques of bonsai and discover local resources available for bonsai plant material, containers and provide hands on learning opportunities related to the art of bonsai and horticulture in general. The club also holds workshop sessions at a different location on the 3rd Thursday of each month to give and get help with personal trees. Check out our web site at
We begin our 4-part series on Japanese maples at our February meeting. Andrew Robson of Rayuyo Bonsai will be our guide as we receive information on how to address nursery stock maples for the transformation to bonsai.
