(This is an outdoor event. Bring beach blankets, beach chairs and whatever you need to be comfortable on the beach for the poetry reading portion of the event.)
<A HREF=https://www.parachutearts.org/>Parachute Literary Arts</a> invites you to come experience Walt Whitman's bicentennial in one of his favorite places Coney Island! Join us on the boardwalk and West 21st Street in Coney Island at 3pm for a day-long festival of poetry, music, free workshops and site-specific walks.
At 7pm, <b> Whitman Was Here: Walt Whitman </b> in Coney Island, will continue on the rooftop of Kitchen 21 (in the landmark Childs Building) where Bushwick Books Club presents new original music in response to "Leaves of Grass".
