White Manjushri Teaching & Empowerment

Current Resident Scholar Monk, Geshe Jamyang Nyima at Namgyal Monastery in Ithaca, New York will confer this White Manjushri teaching and Empowerment. White Manjushri is the Peaceful aspect of Manjushri and is associated with the wisdom of pure spiritual awakening. He is the bodhisattva that represents "prajna" or the wisdom of insight in Tibetan Buddhism. Manjushri is the embodiment of all Buddhas' wisdom. His fame as a source of inspiration, teaching and protection and as a focus for devotion and meditation spread from India to China, Korea, Japan and to Tibet and from Tibet to the Western World. He is noted for having far-reaching and often inconceivable miraculous power. Keeping his name, "Manjushri" in mind and meditation upon his form is a method for acquiring merit that leads to immeasurable benefits of spiritual insight and an awakening mind. 

This event is a fundraiser for Namgyal Monastery, Ithaca, NY. Namgyal Monastery is a registered NYS 501(c)3 non-profit. All proceeds go to Namgyal Monastery and are tax deductible to the extent of the law.
