Did you have a good time at the conference on Saturday? Let us know what you think, and how we can make it better for next year! Couldn't make it? Answer the survey anyway and let us know what you wished you could have seen, and what you want to see next time.

Format of survey didn't make much sense for those of us who couldn't make it. Maybe make an alternate survey?

WhatIMake: The Conference Countdown: 3 days! Speaker Profile: Rhonda Fazio Rhonda's years of research as an artisan assimilate the textile design methods of ancient and indigenous cultures with the agrarian culture of Western Civilization. A portion of her philosophy is to incorporate the early American cottage industry as a redevelopment of an economic process in the 21 century. The approach to her work relies more on the human process of design rather than the mechanized version of it. She has been working as an artist for 18 years however her influences span millennia drawing on the earliest sustainability practices. Her work is largely produced without the use of fossil fuel. She currently maintains a studio at the Narrows Center in Fall River, Massachusetts, where she teaches sustainable textile design workshops and facilitates her natural dye and historical textile research. WhatIMake: The Conference Countdown: 4 days! Speaker Profile: Fadayz From early on, Fadayz had dreams of helping others realize their full potential through self expression. His drive began in the foster care system of Connecticut as a child in need of a positive outlet and continued on into adulthood as a man with a passion to help others look past their circumstances to achieve their goals. WhatIMake: The Conference Countdown: 5 days! Speaker Profile: Timmy Riordan Between finishing he first album in June of 2004 and April of 2007, Timmy wrote a grand total of about 3 songs and was tired of it. Tired of being a songwriter who didn’t write. Tired of being a songwriter scared of writing bad songs. So he committed to a week of writing a song every day and got one of his best songs ever. This workshop discusses the tools and techniques Timmy uses to eradicate songwriting blocks and how committing to a seemingly impossible task can create the ambition and enthusiasm to make it happen. This workshop will offer you the confidence that you can always write a song whether you want to write a song everyday of the week or any day of the week. There will be an opportunity to join Timmy for a Fearless Songwriting Week starting Sunday April 17th. #WhatIMake: The Conference Countdown: 9 Days! Speaker Profile: Camille DeAngelis When we talk about being an effective communicator, we’re talking about how we share our ideas with other people. But our success in communicating our vision depends upon how skilled we are at communicating with ourselves. Camille will share how her private writing supports the work she produces for publication, and how anyone can use a private writing practice to deal with creative blocks and release unproductive thought patterns, find joy and contentment in their work (regardless of external circumstances!), and figure out precisely how they want to grow—professionally and personally. Conference Countdown: 10 more days! Speaker Highlight - Benjamin Holmes While starting Aeronaut Brewing Company in Somerville, Holmes has seen how hard it is to create community spaces. Based on his experience, he’d say that it’s not for either of the following reasons: 1. lack of willing participants or interest 2. lack of space, ideas, or opportunity His talk will describe the challenges of building community spaces, focusing not on the obstacles but on a set of approaches that can maximize the likelihood of success.
