Wilderness First Aid is a requirement for License Level 3 Coaches; and great information for ANYONE working with the students.
Basic First Aid & CPR are required prerequisites for this course. (WFA certificate can be “held” until completion of CPR/First Aid.)
Wilderness First Aid a hands on course is designed to prepare anyone who enters the advanced terrain or the wilderness to confidently and effectively respond to injuries and illness that can occur while on the trail. The training will focus on staying calm, making good decisions, and relevant hands-on practice, including on-the-trail scenarios with fellow classmates. Certification is valid for 2 years
Please arrive at least 15 minutes prior to the start of class. Class will run from 7:30 am until 7:30 pm.

We will be in room 127. Everyone should enter through the main entrance by the flag poles.
From the North:
Exit Pilgrim Road (Cty YY) South (exit 51A) to Appleton Ave. (Hwy 175) Southeast (left turn) to Woosencraft Drive North (left turn). Follow Woosencraft right into the HS parking lot.
From the South:
Exit Appleton Ave. (Hwy 175) Northwest (exit 47A) to Woosencraft Drive North (right turn). Follow Woosencraft right into the HS parking lot.

Frank's Bio - My background began with Boy Scouts and the YMCA/Red Cross Lifeguarding programs. I have a wide variety of teaching and actual experience. I am a retired Federal employee, retired military and have been a life guard on and off since 1967. My degree is in Education with graduate courses in both education and Public Administration. I have been active in all types of outdoor activities including up to 2 weeks in the back country in mountains, on lakes and in a camp setting. I have been teaching WFA, FA, CPR, AED in the Boy Scout program and Red Cross Lifeguarding (waterpark, waterfront and pools), CPR, AED, O2 administration for YMCAs public pools/waterparks/waterfronts and at Wisconsin Dells for several water parks at that location.
