Uplifting music that acted as a beacon of hope, buoying people in the darkest of times. Brundib*r (Czech for “bumblebee”) was composed by Hans Kr*sa in the Theresienstadt concentration camp and yet encourages faith in humankind. The program also features Mendelssohn’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Guest artists include California Lutheran University Choir, Women’s Chorale and Aret* Vocal Ensemble and Los Robles Children’s Choir. Dreams is part of a two-concert series remembering the Holocaust and honoring the 75th anniversary of the liberation of concentration camps.
