What great things come from Africa?
Students will witness the life of a traditional African village through drumming and traditional dress. We alternate between interactive rhythms with drum segments as well as storytelling that educate and inspire. As part of this interactive performance, we will use community peer praise as a traditional element in African performance. The program is a great way to learn about the rich history of the African people.
What is Africa, a continent or country? Do you know the names of African instruments? Do you know the names of any African Kigs or Queens? Do you know any African langauges? Discuss some art forms that are distinctive to the continent.
