WELDING & Shop Basics [3.5 Hrs] (10-18-2020 starts at 11:30 AM)

Knowing how to weld is like having the having a super power! You use the power of lightning at your finger tips to create anything you want (out of metal)!
Oh, and it's way easier to learn than you probably imagined. I mean, if my 10 year old kid can do it, anyone can!
If you're even remotely curious about what this experience is like then take a moment to read my reviews. You'll see the Sculpture Class is the same as the Welding Class in that you will learn most of the same skills however, there's no time available to build a project in this Welding & Shop Basics class. However, the thrill of being empowered with these skills is all there.
CLASS DETAILS:
After instructions on shop safety, the Instructor will demo use of a "Plasma Cutting Machine, a Bench drill press, a Port-A-Band saw, belt sander, bench grinder and some hand-held electrical tools such as an Angle Grinder with grinder, sanding disks and a cutting Wheel. Students then will be given instruction on how to operate a wire-fed welding machine and join metal pieces by creating "welds".
The remaining of the class time students will simply practice use of the various new skills.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
All safety gear will be provided and sanitized prior to your arrival.
All clothing should fully cover arms, legs, feet, chest and should be made of natural fibers. NOT polyester. Long hairs must be tied back or braided. You will be given a face mask or clean bandana for cover face. If you already have your own helmet and/or gloves the yes, bring those. Bring whatever gear you're already comfortable with using.
