4.9 round trip miles of interesting rock formations and great valley views - that s the most basic description of the Rocky Peak Trail. Optional turn around points at 3/4, 1 3/4 mile points, all with nice views. The fire road is a good workout and conditioning hike as well. Even on the hottest of days there is normally a breeze on this hike making it pleasant enough.

Level: intermediate+ It is a good workout.
Dogs: Yes if leashed, per State law
Restrooms: No
Drinking Fountains: No
Parking details: You can park at the trailhead. If it’s full you can also park along the Santa Susana pass road located south (across) the 118.
Trail: Fire road
Known Dangers: Rattlesnakes, slip- n-fall.

What to Bring:
1-2 liters of water and a snack
Flashlight or headlamp
Warm clothing if you get chilly, Willy
