weekday practice
Please get to Cass Park around 5:30pm – 5:45pm at the latest – to get your gear (life vest, paddle, seat pad, etc.). Team warm ups start at 5:45pm, then we'll load the boat and be on the water by 6pm. Stragglers, if you snooze, you lose!
If you are new, come a bit earlier to talk to someone from the New Members Committee and get some basic club/paddling instructions.
a note on what to wear:
If it's still chilly: Your hands and lower arms will get wet. Paddling or biking gloves if you have them. Long sleeves that you can push up. Maybe a light fleece. A couple layers are good so you can take one off when you warm up from paddling. Your feet could get a little wet. Some people wear water sandals with wool socks, others just wear flip-flops! Some folks wear light quick dry hiking pants. Yoga pants are good too. Just no cotton!
If it's warm: bring and wear sunscreen! Bring water and make sure you're properly hydrated.

We welcome people who want to try paddling to come practice with us a few times without a commitment. For more than a few time there is a membership fee of $175 for the April to November season. Fees help to defray the cost of equipment, maintenance, storage, dock rentals, insurance liabilities and various programs related to our stated objectives.
