Waterbury Branch Campus Trainings

PLEASE NOTE: THESE CLASSES ARE OPEN FOR ANYONE INTERESTED TO TAKE.  PLEASE READ BELOW.

UConn Rescue is a student organization based at the University of Connecticut, Storrs Campus. We routinely offer accredited emergency medical training classes to members of the university and greater community. Beginning in Spring 2020, we will be traveling to each of the branch campuses to provide trainings on one Saturday each semester.

Our planned schedule for our visit to UConn Waterbury on Saturday, February 29th, 2020 includes:

1. 9AM-12PM: Heartsaver CPR/AED Class (18 seats): This is a CPR class for non-medical personnel, those who may require CPR certification for their employment, and those who wish to take it for general knowledge. This class is approximately 3 hours long, and concludes in a skills test for certification. The cost is $50 per person and includes all class materials, training valve, provider manual and certification card
2. 12:15-1:15PM: Stop the Bleed Class (30 seats): This is a class designed to educate bystanders about how to respond to emergencies involving life-threatening bleeding. No medical background is necessary, and all participants will receive a certification that is good for life. This training is free of charge.
3. 1:30-5:30PM: Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers CPR/AED Class (18 seats): This is the recommended CPR class for pre-health professions students and people who work in healthcare settings. This class is approximately 4 hours in length and concludes in both written and skills tests for certification. The cost is $50 per person and includes all course materials, training valve, provider manual, and certification card.

Use this form to register for any of the classes that will be offered. Please follow all of the directions to reserve your seat in the appropriate class.

UConn Rescue Cancellation Policy: 

You must cancel at least 7 days (as measured by 24 hour increments from the start time of the class) before your scheduled class in order to receive a refund for your class payment.  In order to cancel your registration, transfer your registration or request a refund please use the Eventbrite site and your confirmation email to do so.  No refunds will be given within 7 days (as measured by 24 hour increments from the start time of the class) of your registered class.
