Due to health and safety concerns surrounding COVID-19 (coronavirus) the 2020 Walk-Bike New York Symposium, Hyatt Regency in Rochester, June 11-12 has been canceled. The advertised non-refundable policy has been waived, and all paid registrants will receive a full refund. The Hyatt has deleted the lodging room block, but please check your own room reservation to be sure it is canceled.
We are currently planning to reschedule the conference, with specific dates and location to be determined.

EVENT CANCELEDCreating walkable and bikeable environments requires an active collaboration of people with interests in safety, land use, economic development, transportation, education, law enforcement, and health promotion. This one and a half day biennial symposium is open to all and attracts 150 participants, providing education, information and the tools to work together to create walkable and bikeable communities.An exciting agenda is planned and includes sessions on Bicycle and Pedestrian Safety Education, Enforcement & Engineering, Safety Initiatives and Local Project Highlights in New York State. Schedule: Thursday, 6/11, 8am-4pm with Welcome Reception from 5-6pm and
Friday, 6/12, 7:30am to noon. -
Registration fee: $75 for any or all of the symposium includes breakfast, lunch and evening reception on Thursday and breakfast on Friday.

Bring your own bike and explore Rochester! The Hyatt will allow bikes in lodging rooms. Join a police-escorted community bike ride with Conkey Cruisers on Thursday at 7pm; request a free loaner bike upon registration and bring your own helmet.
Walk! Start your Friday morning with a PSAP Walking Tour from 7:30-8:30 with the Genesee Transportation Council of Rochester.
