Let's get out on the water and learn how to sail this summer! SheJumps is hosting this beginner lesson with instructors, boats, and life jackets provided by Sail Sand Point on Lake Washington, in Seattle. The goal with this lesson is to learn the basics of sailing so you can get out on the water on your own next time. A one hour free rental voucher is included in the price, so you can come back to Sail Sand Point and continue learning on your own.SheJumps is a non-profit organization with the mission to increase the participation of women and girls in outdoor activities. We welcome all women and girls (transgender and cisgender) as well as non-binary people who identify with the women’s community. We are excited to host this event with Sail Sand Point which is a non-profit organization with the mission to bring the joy and life-enhancing benefits of sailing and small boats to people of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. We are also hosting a two night windsurfing clinic at Sail Sand Point on August 12 and 14.We have a limited number of tickets so make sure to get yours online before they are sold out. Tickets can be purchased online via Eventbrite. In case there is no wind at the time of this event, we will make sure to get out on the water still, either on stand up paddle boards or kayaks. For questions, please reach out to Hedvig von Beetzen at hvonbeetzen@shejumps.orgHope to see you there!
