This hour-long orientation provides prospective volunteers with information about the shelter, its programs and services, and give an overview of the available types of volunteer programs. Our current volunteer corp is comprised of over 1,200 animal lovers of all ages, backgrounds, and interests. Our volunteers play an integral role in the shelter's mission statement to "provide compassion and care for all animals." With over 35 unique programs, volunteers have many opportunities to help out, whether it is direct animal interaction, meeting and speaking with members of the public about the shelter, assisting Health Staff, and even in our Wildlife Department. Animal interaction opportunities are available for volunteers ages 15 and older. FAQs What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? Two-hour street parking is available around the shelter and also at the Del Mar Goldline Station parking structure. How can I contact the organizer with any questions? Please email the Volunteer Services Department at volunteer@pasadenahumane.org or call 626-792-7151 x 140. Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? Yes.
