Visual Theory & Hands-on Haircutting - Austin, TX

This class includes an intensive theory, demo and a hands-on portion. The goal of the class is to give you the confidence to actually "create" a haircut. No more having to memorize haircuts or having "wing" them. Instead, to be able to design and create a haircut tailored to suit you client's face shape, hair type, and style. We will do this by having a firm grasp on the fundamentals through theory using lots of visual aids. You will then be able to "see" the application of the fundamentals as Shannel demonstrates the haircut you will do on your mannequin head during the "hands-on" portion of the class.

A questionnaire will be sent via email a few weeks before the class to get to know your strengths and weaknesses, and tailor the class to your needs. 

The email will also include a tool list:

- Dollhead with medium length hair

- Tripod 

- Scissors 

- Cutting comb

- Clips

- Water bottle

- Blow dryer

- Flat iron

- Styling brush (ex. Denman, Vess, 407)

- Pen
