UWIB DC Presents: The 9th Annual Winter Soirée & Silent Auction

The United Women In Business DC Chapter invites you to escape the cold weather and celebrate our mission to elevate and empower local women in the DMV!

Celebrate the beginning of a new year with the 9th Annual United Women in Business Foundation (UWIB) Fundraiser and Silent Auction. Enjoy drink and food specials along with the opportunity to win raffle prizes and bid on silent auction items at Mission Dupont!

As a volunteer-run 501(c)3 nonprofit, 100% of contributions go directly to UWIB to help support free programming, membership and philanthropy events for the DMV area.

Everyone is encouraged to attend ~ bring your coworkers, roommates, significant others and allies! 

WHAT YOU'LL GET:

• Unique occasion to mingle with the UWIB DC Board of Directors and UWIB members

• To support a nonprofit advancing local women

• Drink and food specials including $8.50 margaritas, $5.50 Coronas and $8 quesadillas

• Chance to win raffle prizes and bid on silent auction items from local businesses

• The first 15 attendees will receive a swag bags with a gift, coupons and other goodies

EVENT DETAILS:

6:00 PM: Check-In and Event Opens.

6:00 PM - 7:30 PM: Soiree and Silent Auction. Enjoy cookies and purchase drinks & food specials while bidding on incredible items!

7:00 PM: Remarks from the 2019 UWIB DC President and the introduction of the 2020 DC Board of Directors.

7:30 PM: Silent auction bid sheets and raffle bowls will be collected and winners will be announced. Guests are welcome to stay until 8 PM to continue mingling.

Standard Ticket includes: Entry donation and wristband for access to drink and food specials throughout the event.

Deluxe Ticket includes: Entry donation and wristband for access to drink and food specials throughout the event, as well as two raffle tickets!

LAST YEAR'S SOIREE RECAP:

In December 2018, UWIB hosted our annual holiday party and silent auction at the Wunder Garten DC. We had an incredible night filled with food, drinks and raffle items! We also gave out generous gift cards and amazing freebies from DC fitness studios and more.

VENUE SPOTLIGHT:

Known for its spacious patio, daily happy hour, weekend bottomless brunch and multiple private event spaces, Mission is a restaurant and bar located in Dupont Circle steps from the Metro station. Located in a large renovated turn of the century townhouse, Mission’s features includes brick walls, antique sconces, reclaimed wood ceilings and a large main bar with a glass atrium ceiling. Mission is one of the premier Washington D.C. venues for events of all types and sizes.
