Human behavior towards the natural world often has unintended consequences. At a certain scale, this is not a problem. The earth can absorb a surprising amount of disruption and interference. However, there are inevitable limits with dire consequences. We have now reached a critical threshold in both complexity and scale - an Urgent Imprerative - where we must intervene to create sustainable solutions with global impact. Through computer-generated objects and digital sculptures, Michelle Rothwell juxtaposes nature's elegant forms and ecosystems with man-made objects to emphasize the pressing need for humans to take action. The exhibit will be on display from December 12 –– January 25 at the Esther Klein Gallery (EGK) located at 3600 Market Street, Philadelphia PA. Gallery hours are Monday thru Saturday 9 – 5pm.
