Upper Truchas Basin & Rio Quemado Falls Explore

Using our special access privileges, we return to scout one of the most precious areas in New Mexico, containing one of the finest waterfalls in the Southwest. I m not going to write much here, since we are a public group, and preference will be given to those signed up for the San Leonardo Lakes trip that moved from this date.

Drive Distance: 80 miles RT = $7 per rider

We will bring our 2 hand saws and some loppers, to clear off any small diameter stuff on the trail, as our part of the deal with our hosts. I will drive the Beast, but they have been grading the road so any good clearance SUV will get there without trouble. There is only room for 3 vehicles plus Sammy at the TH, so masked carpooling from Truchas will be required, but you can drive to there if you feel you must.
