Villard Avenue is currently participating in a charrette design in partnership with the City of Milwaukee and UWM’s Community Design Solutions to re-envision key sites and help inform residents and business owners about improvements along the corridor.

This tour will meet at the community room inside the Villard Square library. The tour will begin with a brief discussion about the revitalization that is happening on Villard Avenue. The results of the charrette designs will also be shared with the public.

Afterwards, there will be a walk from the library along both Villard Ave. and 35th St. to see Milwaukee Art Haus, Bodies Events LLC, the Historic Ritz/Villa Library, the new Villard Commons mixed-use development currently under construction, and the site of Marineland Pets that plans to reopen in the corridor.

The walk will return to the Villard Square library for fellowship and networking over a lunch that will be provided compliments of the Villard Avenue BID.

This 5-block walk is accessible for all, using city streets. If requested, we can have volunteers available to assist individuals with wheelchairs. The walk will occur rain or shine.

This presentation and walk will be led by Angelique Sharpe, Villard Avenue BID manager, and Brian Rott, Executive Director of Quasimondo Physical Theater and Villard Avenue BID board director.
