Please join us for the rescheduled Gaffin Lecture from the Spring!     The Theology of the Covenants in Early Christianity | Dr. Ligon Duncan   Dr. J. Ligon Duncan III is the Chancellor & CEO of Reformed Theological Seminary and the John E. Richards Professor of Systematic and Historical Theology. He served as Senior Minister of the historic First Presbyterian Church (1837) in Jackson, Miss. for 17 years (1996-2013). He is co-founder of Together for the Gospel, Senior Fellow of the Council on Biblical Manhood and Womanhood (having served as both Chairman of the Board and President), and was President of the Alliance of Confessing Evangelicals from 2004-2012. Duncan served as the Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in America (2004-2005). He studied at Furman University, Greenville, SC (BA); Covenant Theological Seminary, St. Louis (M.Div., MA, cum laude); and the University of Edinburgh, Scotland (Ph.D.). Duncan has edited, written, and contributed to numerous books. Ligon and his wife Anne have two children in college and they reside in Jackson, Miss.    About The Gaffin Lecture The Gaffin Lecture on Theology, Culture, and Missions is a lecture in biblical or systematic theology to honor the work of Dr. Richard B. Gaffin, Jr., Professor of Biblical and Systematic Theology, Emeritus.  Past lectures have been given by Drs. Bruce Waltke, Robert Letham, Paul Wells, Al Mohler, D. A. Carson, David Wells, John Piper, Peter Jensen, Noel Weeks, and Herman Selderhuis.  Dr. Richard B. Gaffin, Jr., is Professor of Biblical & Systematic Theology, Emeritus at Westminster Theological Seminary. He has earned degrees from Calvin College (B.A.) and Westminster Theological Seminary (Th.M., Th.D.). He has also studied at Georg-August Universität, Göttingen. He is the author of Resurrection and Redemption; Perspectives on Pentecost; Calvin and the Sabbath; By Faith, Not by Sight: Paul and the Order of Salvation; and God’s Word in Servant Form, and has contributed numerous articles to many other publications. Dr. Gaffin has served at Westminster Theological Seminary for over fifty years.   After the Lecture All are welcome to join us for refreshments after the lecture in Van Til lobby. Alumni, you are invited to join the faculty for lunch in the Carriage House after the lecture! Tickets for lunch are $12 --  register by selecting the "General Admission + Alumni Lunch" ticket type.
