Tuesday Tastings "So Sour"

Sour beers are a true masterpiece of science. Traditional brewing methods call for extreme caution in protecting against "wild" yeasts and microorganisms. In contrast sour beers harness these ingredients to create unique and flavorful beers. Join us for a night exploring a bit of the science behind these "wild yeasts" and microorganisms and tasting their specific flavor contributions.

Allison Hoekstra is Certified Cicerone®. She passed the Certified Cicerone exam this past winter, receiving a 100% on the tasting portion. Not only is Allison an official “beer nerd” but she also has a passion for beer education and exploring it with others.
