Did You Know You Can Train Your Body To Shake Trauma, Stress and Tension Away?
Our bodies have an innate ability to release the tension, stress and trauma that gets trapped in our muscular and skeletal system. Stress and unprocessed trauma & tension wreak havoc on our emotional state and physical bodies causing emotional dis-ease and physical disease. In fact, it is estimated that 70-85% of doctors' visits for physical complaints are due to emotional causes that have manifested into physical symptoms.
Nearly 40 years ago, it was discovered that wild animals recover from trauma by engaging in tremoring spasms of their body core and flailing of limbs. Shaking/tremors/spasms is our central nervous system's innate way to rid excessive tension through the rapid muscle contraction and relaxation of the tremors to calm the body down from an over excited adrenal state. Shaking/tremors/spasms releases the stress chemicals which tend to get frozen in the body causing physical disease and emotional dis-ease.
It is well-known and documented that shaking is a common result of a traumatic event or an over-stressed emotional state. Unfortunately, our innate ability to tap into our tremor mechanism to restore balance after a traumatic or stressful event has been supressed in our culture which could explain why we have some of the highest rates of mental illness and stress-induced physical disease of any industrialized nation in the world.
