Weekday Volunteer Trailwork Party at SkyRaider Trail Thursday, August 22, 4:30-7:00pm

Great Communities Build Great Trails - Great Trails Build Great Communities!

Calling all weekend warriors, trail blazers, wanderers and trail lovers alike are invited to join us for a trailwork party to help build the SkyRaider trail on the west side of the hogback in the Horse Gulch trail system! This one mile trail will provide a connection between the Power Line and Ridge trails.

Trails 2000 is pleased to invite volunteers to trailwork Thursday, August 22, 2019. No experience is necessary for trailwork, and Trails 2000 will provide the necessary instruction, safety tool talk, tools, work gloves, and water and snacks for the entire crew. Thank you for volunteering, and giving back to your trails and community!

Where:

This week's trailwork will be in the Horse Gulch area. Our Crew Leaders will plan out which areas of trail to work on for this week's trailwork party. Specific directions to our work site will be provided in your confirmation email upon registering to volunteer for this event. Carpooling is recommended to this event as there is no off-street parking.

What to wear:

Volunteers should plan to wear or bring the following:

• Closed toe shoes or boots
• Long pants
• Shirt (long or short sleeved)
• Sun hat
• Sunglasses or other protective glasses
• Sunscreen
• A full water bottle
• Rain jacket (optional)

Trails 2000 will provide all tools, gloves, instruction and safety talk, extra water and snacks for our volunteers. We do live in beautiful, unpredictable Colorado, so please check the weather before your work day and plan to dress accordingly. If there is lightning or other workplace hazards the day of that change our trailwork party plans, Trails 2000 will notify you ASAP via email.
