Denis Lacorne

Senior Research Fellow at Sciences Po, Paris

 

 

 

 

 

 

Denis Lacorne is senior research fellow emeritus with the CERI (Centre d'Etudes et de Recherches Internationales) at Sciences Po, Paris. His books in English include The Limits of Tolerance: Enlightenment Values and Religious Fanaticism (Columbia UP, 2019) and Religion in America: A Political History (Columbia UP, 2011). He is also the author of L'invention de la République américaine ("Inventing the American Republic", 2008) and of La Crise de l'identité américaine: Du Melting pot au multiculturalisme ("The American Identity in Crisis”, 2003). He has taught at the Paris School of International Affairs and has directed a Master Program on American Studies at Sciences Po.  He was a visiting fellow at the Remarque Institute (NYU), the Institute for Religion, Culture and Public Life (Columbia University), the Graduate School of Education, (Waseda University, Tokyo), the Stanford Humanities Center and the Bill Lane Center for the American West at Stanford.
