Toastmasters at Ross / Michigan
Welcome to the Toastmaster at Ross and Michigan Toastmasters joint meetings. This club is open and everyone is welcome!
Are you interested in having fun, developing your communication & leadership skills, learning effective evaluations, interviewing skills, and how to emcee a meeting, while making new supportive friends? Then come to our meeting!
We usually have about 18 people at our meetings. Looking forward to seeing you there! The first meetings in September we usually have a little bit more people there. We are a diverse, intelligent and friendly group of people. We usually start at about 3:10 which is Michigan time.
We will have 3 to 4 prepared speeches, showcase some of our (kind, encouraging and gentle) evaluations of the speeches to give the speakers insight to improve to the next-level of their development, and some opportunities for people to have impromptu speaking fun. There will also be a chance for Q & A during the meeting and some interesting workshops, such as developing your Interviewing Skills too. Have fun making new friendships with encouraging and supportive people! You can be part of this fun club!
There is success at Toastmasters! People try new things and everyone wins. It is an encouraging atmosphere of supportive people. When you join Toastmasters - you receive a Mentor and you may want to Mentor other people too.
Parking is Free in the parking structure on Hill Street (close to the corner of Tappan Avenue). Street parking is also free on Sundays.
We meet the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month and we may add other meetings too. You can also join our sister club at the Michigan Union, at 8pm on Tuesdays too.
