Join us as we work on our pages. We'll meet in a positive atmosphere to hone our writing skills and provide suggestions, support, and encouragement.

If you'd like feedback on your writing, bring no more than three (3) double-spaced pages and enough copies to share with everyone attending. 

Please format according to industry standards and bring enough copies for everyone attending : 

* Double-space * 1" margins * page numbers * 12 pt font, either Courier or Times New Roman.

If you want your writing to improve, join us. Remember, writing is a profession, so learn as much as you can about the craft, and work to present the best manuscript you possibly can. RSVP to attend so we'll know how many copies to bring. 

If you'd like to socialize with the other writers, join us at 6pm. We'll talk about writing, publishing, and we'll share our accomplishments and offer support when needed. At 6:30pm, we'll start the critiques.

NOTE:

What is a selling writer? A professional. A writer who has knowledge of industry writing standards and uses that knowledge. A professional makes sure his/her manuscript is as clean & tight as possible. 

Now that self-publishing is so easy and available, should we worry about writing according to industry standards?  

YES!

Readers notice poor writing, typos, and other errors. So learn as much as you can about the craft and work to present the best manuscript you possibly can.
