And for when the pandemic ends:

Sci-Tech Amateur Radio Society (STARS) meets weekly on Tuesdays from approximately 6:00pm to 8:30pm.

We typically start the evening by making contacts and ragchewing in the radio room. At 6:30pm, STARS uses its UHF repeater [[masked] MHz (- offset) PL 146.2Hz] for a traffic NET. We then sit down for business (and often pizza!) by 7pm. Once the formal meeting wraps up, we usually tackle radio projects such as the satellite station set-up. Come by anytime, but you will probably feel you missed out if you are later than about 7:30pm.

STARS weekly meetings are located at and hosted by the high-tech STEM education center called New England Sci-Tech (NE SciTech), located at 16 Tech Circle, Natick, MA.

The STARS radio room is set up with HF, VHF, and UHF rigs as well as electronics test equipment such as oscilloscopes, antenna analyzer, and spectrum analyzer.

If you decide that you like being a part of STARS, consider officially joining us. Membership is $60 annually. Active Membership privileges include use of the amateur radio portion of NE SciTech, attendance at all STARS meetings on Tuesdays, 6:00-8:00 pm, e-mailed newsletters and invitations to club events and activities, and ability to vote and run for STARS offices at the annual meeting. You can join STARS here: https://www.nescitech.org/membership-account/membership-levels/

This is a family and community based amateur radio club. Although there are no age restrictions, it is recommended that children be at least age 10 and that a parent enroll as a supporting member for youth under age 18.
