Teen Leadership Summit Information Session

Registration is open for the 2020 Peace Ambassador Leadership Summit (PALS), hosted at the following locations:

• University of Central Florida (UCF), June 14-18. Theme: Leadership through Career, Social, and Life Skill Development. Students receive coaching from top FL employers about internship and career opportunities, and participate in UCF's special outdoor Challenge Course to promote team building.

• PALS at Florida International University (FIU), July 19-26. Theme: Leadership, Personal and Career Development designed to Bridge the Gap Between the Classroom and the Real World. Students also participate in evening enrichment activities including pool time, art therapy, sports, movie night, talent shows, and a special prom.

• PALS at Georgetown University (GU), August 2-6. Theme: Leadership through Civic Engagement and Social Impact. Guest speakers from Capitol Hill, tours of monuments and museums, and Digital Media training and hands-on exploration at Comcast/NBCUniversal.

We are inviting parents, community leaders, agencies that work with teens 14-19 to an information session from 11-12 sharp, to learn about the benefits of attending PALS beyond the service hours, from students who previously attended the event and are now Jr. Counselors.

What is PALS?

PALS is a dynamic leadership development experience, co-facilitated by trained youth leaders, where students earn service hours, enjoy university campus life, and receive an intense focus on leadership, college and career preparation, and more. Students also participate in activities designed to model self-care practices, personal development, and increase self-esteem. Community service projects, discussions about relevant social justice movements, and activities that engage students in thinking strategically, communicating actively, powerfully, and collaboratively to make a positive impact.
