Teen Council members are youth leaders and mentors in the library. In addition to being registered teen volunteers and carrying out routine volunteer tasks, Teen Council members also serve as advocates on behalf of other teens in the Eagle Rock Branch community. They help advise on teen programming and purchases for the young adult collection.
Teen Council also plays an important role in civic engagement and encourages teens to help initiate lasting, positive change in their local communities. Please join us at our next meeting if you are between the ages of 11-18 and are interested in making the library and your community more meaningful places for teens and youth.
