Salem State faculty will explore historical cases where leaders used deception and propaganda to undermine democracy. Teachers will also wrestle with deception and denial on social media and acquire skills to teach media literacy and research in the 21st century.

This workshop is part of a two-day event, the first part taking place on Nov. 13th at the Salem Visitor Center at 7 pm.   NY Times journalist Andrew Rosenthal will discuss his extensive experience covering political affairs before and during the 2016 election. Click here for information about this talk. Attendance is not mandatory but strongly encouraged.
