TCRG Brown Bag Speaker Series
Please note the room change for this month: Amherst Wilder Center, Auditorium A.
Topic: Population health and economic growth, mixed-methods research.
What is the business case for investment in community health improvement? To answer this question, Wilder Research and the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis teamed on a research study that examines how population health correlates with economic activity in metro areas across the United States and also how population health correlates with business location decisions. This presentation will focus on the methods used to carry out this complex study, including the assembly of panel data, the Granger causality test, regression analysis, cluster analysis, and a national survey. Members of the research team will also share preliminary study findings.
Featured Presenters: Jose Diaz is an economist for Wilder Research and chief impact officer for the Constellation Fund. Ela Rausch is a project director at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis.
