This year Vickie's estate planning update will cover a range of new and interesting developments at both the state and federal level. Of course, she will be reviewing strategic planning after the SECURE Act, but also new developments in other areas such as recent guidance on charitable giving, trust reformation and modification, grantor trust issues, and important considerations for those acting as fiduciaries.
About Vickie: After graduating from Deming High School in southern New Mexico, Vickie attended George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and then attended UNM Law School. She earned her LL.M. (Taxation) from New York University, and then returned to New Mexico.
Vickie is an ACTEC (American College of Trust and Estate Counsel) Fellow; and a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. Vickie was honored to be recently appointed by the Supreme Court of New Mexico to the State Disciplinary Board.
Vickie practices in the following areas and lectures both locally and outside of New Mexico in the areas of estate planning, tax law, probate, estate and trust administration, charitable giving, business planning, and business succession planning.
