STARTING in 2017-2018: If you are wanting to become one of our SWO-COG certified substitute teachers, you MUST have a copy of your current ODE teaching license or substitute license BEFORE you can register to attend one of the mandatory SWO-COG Certified Substitute Teachers Orientation sessions!
A SWO-COG Certified Substitute Teacher Orientation session is mandatory before you are able to sub, but you only have to attend one of them! This session will provide necessary orientation to Absence Management (formerly Aesop) usage. In addition, all SWO-COG employment and other requirements will be covered.
You are required to print off and complete all required SWO-COG employment paperwork, documents and payroll forms listed on the SWO-COG website. Then you will need to bring all your completed paperwork to your scheduled orientation session, along with a copy of your current ODE teaching and/or substitute license, and copies of your BCI/FBI reports, dated within 365 days of your orientation session.
