Sweeney Todd, The Demon Barber of Fleet Street by Stephen Sondheim and Hugh Wheeler Benjamin Barker returns to London as Sweeney Todd to exact his revenge. Fifteen years have passed since his wife and infant daughter were ripped away from him when the envious judge Turpin wrongfully imprisoned him. He sets up his new barber business atop Mrs. Lovett’s pie shop on Fleet Street. A shave here and a slice there, his unsuspecting customers become a steady source of meat for Mrs. Lovett’s pies. His enemy’s accomplice, Beadle, falls victim to his blade. Now, Todd must convince judge Turpin to sit in his barber’s chair and bare his neck for the sweet kiss of his razor’s edge.
