In the words of local surf legend Gerry Lopez "surfing is a similar path (to a spiritual journey) and when practiced with yoga, it can bring great long term benefits."
First 40 minutes will focus on strengthening & supporting key muscle groups used in surfing (shoulders & arms used in paddling, core & obliques to hit that top & bottom turn, & improve balance & response time on that key take off on the pop up). Last 20 minutes will be a slower Yin pace in true Gerry Lopez form, focusing on breath work & deep stretch & release for those tight areas of the body, especially shoulders, neck, & back on those big paddle days.
Come find where the lines blur between surfers & yogis in their combined meditative sport!
