Commerce employees: we need your help.

In our continuing work to enhance our culture, we are inviting each employee to be a part of a focus group. These focus groups will help us understand the behaviors that lead to a trusted culture and what specific actions we can take to make changes. We want to determine how well employees and supervisors feel heard, and we will ask for specific suggestions on how we can improve the culture at Commerce.

We will have nine focus groups this summer and early fall. We need candid feedback on how we can improve listening skills, and how we can improve two-way accountability between staff and management (supervisors and up).

The feedback we gather from the focus groups will help us develop recommendations to the Executive Leadership Team. Feedback to ELT will be anonymous, presented in aggregate to maintain confidentiality.

We need to hear from every part of the agency: we will hold events in Olympia, Seattle and via Skype for anyone based in a remote location.

We plan to have two sets of focus groups – one for supervisors and managers, and another for non-supervisors. As you select a session below, look for those that specify supervisors or non-supervisors, and choose accordingly.
