Supervisor Training Module 4: Business Grammar (Location: DPW)- City of Detroit Employees Only

The Supervisor Training Program is designed to provide the knowledge and skills needed to effectively supervise and manage employees.  The program centers on the value of effective supervision and improves the participants’ ability to lead and motivate others.

Module 4: The English Essentials for Writing Course provides students with a comprehensive review of grammar. This knowledge is necessary for an effective and professional image in the workplace. Poor grammar skills create a poor impression, and can result in lost opportunities in employment and in business. The course focuses on grammar, word usage, and punctuation, with an emphasis on common grammatical errors. Students are given the opportunity to practice, apply, and develop grammar skills through the completion of tasks and exercises found in each lesson.
